I am a newcomer. I got to this site because I cannot get my butterfly to program new code. I sent an Email Atmel, and they have me in a case file but who knows how long that will take. Simply put, the butterfly programmer responds but when I click on flash memory, it fails to erase then gives me what it expected and what it read. Program failure. I exit, turn on the unit and the original butterfly code executes.
I just read how to program the butterfly and I will retry with the aid of thatpost. If I suceed, I will be a happy camper.

Can yuo be more specific with what you are doing when trying to program the Butterfly?

Are you using the serial cable method described with the Butterfly Documentation or another programmer?

Are you sure the cable is working...did you try to enter your name first to make sure cable works?

Are you using [AVR Prog] from inside the Studio Software? Do you get the connected message?
