PC keyboard to MIDI
This code takes the logic signals from a stand-alone PC keyboard (PS2 type) and converts the keypresses into MIDI note-on/off and program change messages. It allows an inexpensive PC keyboard to be used as a substitute for a large piano MIDI keyboard controller. This adapter, a PC keyboard, a MIDI tone module, and a small amplifier or boom-box allows you to add instrument voices and samples when playing with a guitarist or small group. Without transporting a cumbersome and awkward full size MIDI keyboard. Or play alone in the park with headphones and all your equipment in a backpack.
