Pulse Place Modulation signal gererator for RC transmitter
You can buy these days a complete HF-module (e.g. from Graupner/JR) for about 70 EURO. If you want to build your own RC transmitter you can use such a HF module as the real transmitter and limit your project to building your front end for such a module. Doing so you will avoid you all the HF-electronics specific troubles... on top of that you end up with a legal transmitter !
The input for such a module is a positive Pulse Place Modulation signal. This project contains the code you need to generate such a PPM signal.
The code uses timer0 and timer1 and will generate the signal using less then 1% of your CPU resources.
The code is written using BASCOM-AVR.
This program has been written and tested using such a trial version. It took me 3 days from the dowload to this program... BASCOM gave my hobby a new dimension : Fast results
This version includes a trigger pulse in the Timer0 interrupt service routine. That enables you to check the signal on a simple scope. It's best to remove that pulse when you really use the code (I've marked it "just to have a decent trigger")
